Providing free medical care in rural Nepal
Yesterday, Saturday 11th April the 2015 Health Camp Team came together for the first time for the pre camp meeting.
It was wonderful to see a group of individual volunteers and health providers from 5 different countries unite and bond to become, what we hope will be a smooth running, efficient and happy team.
This year’s team comprises of general practioners, an OB/GYN specialising in Ayuveda, midwives, dentists, optometrists and physiotherapists.
Medicines and equipment were counted, split between the two camps and packed up ready for the long journey tomorrow. Discussions were had between international and national counterparts, last minute shopping lists made and the last of the camp logistics finalised.
The final deed of the day was to receive blessings from a Rinpoche for a successful and productive camp.
