Health Camp Day 7- Sirkot and Onwards

Our final morning in Sirkot began after a warm breakfast of chickpeas and potatoes, fried bread, and boiled eggs. The line at the school gate was already forming by the time the registration books were opening and everyone was preparing for final consultations. In pharmacy, Tila, Gerald, and Kumar took stock of available medicines and patients were admitted to the camp.

Everyone worked for several hours until lunch with no notable diagnoses or issues. We packed up, took pictures with the Sirkot volunteers, without whom we would have been hard-pressed and began to make our way down the mountain to Ale Gaun.

We were welcomed back by our host families from the first half of camp and enjoyed fresh chicken and a taste of the local raksi before a final dinner of dahl baht (lentils and rice) under the full moon.
